All About Me

Meet the man behind the project...
John T. Scott
My name is John T. Scott. I am an MCSE (Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer), an MCDBA (Microsoft Certified Database Administrator) and both an MCT (Microsoft Certified Trainer), and CTT+ (Comptia Technical Trainer+). I am currently working in government as the Enterprise DNS & DHCP Administrator, and Active Directory Forest Administrator for the State of Maine. I have worked in I.T. for more than 25 years and once loved it very much. Now I don't mind it, because it helps pay for things like dive trips to the Caribbean, and building my own submarine. You can learn all about my professional career here:
Of course, one of my favorite hobbies is Scuba diving. I have been a certified diver since 1989, and I hold Open Water and Advanced Open Water certifications from both PADI and NASE. My favorite place to dive is the Caribbean, and I like to return there for diving vacations as often as possible. I also designed and maintain this website dedicated to Scuba diving here in my home state of Maine. You can bookmark it here:

My 2006 Kawasaki Nomad
When I am not working hard, I like to play hard. One of my very favorite things to do is to ride my motorcycle. I have a 2006 Kawasaki Nomad, and have ridden from Maine to Memphis, Sturgis, and Deal's Gap, North Carolina - as well as numerous trips in and around New England. In the summer of 2011 I will be riding from Maine to Colorado. In my spare time, I founded a group for Maine State employees who ride called the Maine State Employee Biker's Association. I also maintain our website here:
I am also very involved in Yoga. My wife Ginger is a certified Yoga instructor, and we spend a good deal of our time engaged in the practice and philosophy of Yoga. I also main ti an the web page for Ginger's Yoga Studio, and you can find it here: I find yoga to be good for my body, my mind and my soul. It is a terrific stress reliever.
